Can’t ride the bus, but ready to ditch your lonely ride to work? Ridesharing may be for you. Meet fellow downtown workers at nearby businesses or arrange a rideshare within your business or building – regardless, it’s great way to save money, make friends, and cruise in the HOV lane.
Currently there are 21 Pierce Transit, King County Metro, and Intercity vanpools serving 161 downtown employees traveling 1110 round trip miles daily from the near and far ends of Puget Sound. There are even more carpools.
How do you find out more? Create a profile on RideshareOnline.com, and you’ll be amazed at how many ride matches exist near your home and work. Can’t find any matches – simply start your own carpool or vanpool. Check out RideshareOnline.com to find out how, or give us a call and we’ll walk you through it.
Or consider joining a vanpool already on the road! There are seats available on many routes – just waiting for you! Check out Pierce Transit’s Vanpool page for a list of Pierce Transit vanpools. Contact Pierce Transit vanpool coordinators Heidi Hunter, 253.581.8079, firstname.lastname@example.org or Kim Pontsler, 253.983.2724 or email@example.com for specific route info and seat availability.
